The British International School, Cairo (BISC) is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant to support the Director of Marketing in delivering the school’s strategic marketing, communications and admissions objectives.
This is a fast-paced and varied role suited to a highly organised individual with a passion for design, content creation and brand storytelling. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the promotion of the school through high-quality marketing materials, social media content and internal communications.
Working closely with academic and operational departments across Foundation Stage, Junior School, Senior School, and Sixth Form, the Marketing Assistant will help ensure the consistent delivery of engaging, on-brand communications to support pupil recruitment, retention and community engagement.

- Support the Director of Marketing in the implementation of BISC’s marketing and communications strategy.
- Assist in the planning, creation and scheduling of content across the school’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
- Design engaging digital and print marketing materials using Canva or similar design platforms in line with BISC brand guidelines
- Create social media graphics, posters, newsletters, presentations and internal communications assets.
- Assist with the capture and organisation of photography and video content across school events and daily school life.
- Support the promotion of key school events, including Open Mornings, performances, sports fixtures and enrichment activities.
- Liaise with staff across the school to gather content for marketing purposes.
- Ensure all marketing materials are accurate, engaging and aligned with the BISC brand.
- Assist with website content updates and digital communications where required.
- Support the coordination of external agencies.
Essential:
- Experience in a marketing, communications or design support role.
- Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Experience using website CMS platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail.
- Confidence using social media platforms for professional purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
