AccreditationBISC is an accredited member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS). It is also in membership of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME). BISC was the first school in Egypt to have been accredited by the IAPS.
BISC is an IB World School; having been accredited to teach the IB Diploma since 1989. It is registered with the Department for Education (DfE) in the United Kingdom and licensed to run its own GCSE examinations onsite. Inspected by The Independent Schools' Inspectorate (ISI) in 2015, BISC was one of the few schools in the world and the only school in Egypt to have been judged as excellent in all aspects under the British Schools Overseas scheme. BISC was the first school in Egypt to have been inspected for compliance with UK standards as a British school overseas. BISC was inspected twice by PENTA thereafter; both ISI and PENTA are DfE approved inspectorates that inspect British schools overseas , and monitored by Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children Services and Skills).
