Year 7 have recently read 'The Daydreamer' by Ian McEwan. Once they had finished reading they were asked to produce an extra chapter for the book. They had to use the techniques and ideas in the book and, as far as possible imitate the style of writing. Laila produced a very clever and sophisticated chapter which she numbered five and a half; her page numbering was equally creative and playful.
