Foundation Stage Special Report: What is life about for pupils aged 3-5?
Four years ago, the British Government decided to introduce a new approach to Early Years education in the UK. After much research and consultation, it was decided to implement an educational philosophy for pupils aged 3–5 years based on the premise that the right attitudes towards work can have a profound and life-long effect on their development. The national curriculum for the early years provides a cohesive approach and philosophy that underpins the framework constructed to ensure that a standard can be set nationally and internationally for all pupils aged 3-5 years.
At BISC, we follow the UK government's ‘Curriculum Guidance' for the Foundation Stage and the Early Learning goals. Such skills as listening, speaking, concentration, persistence and learning to work together are developed here.
