The International Languages Week 28th November - 2nd December 2004
BISC Senior school once again celebrated International Week with a wide variety of events and activities. In the newly refurbished and re-stocked Senior School library.
An exhibition of foreign books was held all week. There was an international photographic competition as well as a visit to the German University and the Pharonic Village in Cairo. Other events included an international quiz and language assembly.
However the highlight of the weeks was International Night where over 30 nationalities were represented by over 30 food stations. Food was prepared by the parents and eaten by pupils, parents and staff from the Senior school and Year 6 in the Primary School. Many of the recipes offered were featured in the PTA Cook Book on sale on the night and throughout the school year from Reception. Live musical performances were given by a European jazz band and Palestinian dancers. Other entertainment was provided by Indian and Turkish pupils performing traditional dances.
