The S3 students had a taste of the International Award last weekend with the trip to Jebal Musa in Sinai. For many of them it was their first experience of walking and camping in the mountains and they were on a steep learning curve. They showed a great deal of energy and interest, and at the very least they learnt to appreciate their relatively easy lives here in Cairo. They had many new experiences - abseiling, climbing to the summit for sunrise, riding camels and learning from the bedu. One group was even lucky enough to see a herd of gazelles, something that Mr Parker had never managed in his trips to the area.
