The British International School Society
The British International School Society (BISS) is a
non-profit and non-governmental organization which owns and runs the British
International School, Cairo (BISC). Active members of the society have the
full right to attend the general meetings, submit votes for various issues,
and submit candidature for the Board of Directors.
At the Annual General Meeting of the Society, active members
elect a Board of Directors consisting of 9 members who govern the school
through setting up strategic plans, policies and procedures.
The annual Subscription fee per person for the British
International School Society is LE100. Payment for the annual membership
fees is due from September 1st to September 30th. If
no response is received till October 1st, membership will be
considered inactive and will only be activated once all due membership fees
have been settled.
Any new member applying to the Society before September 1st
will pay a prorate fee and his/her membership will be confirmed six months
from date of application provided all requirements have been fulfilled.
He/she may renew membership on September 1st by paying the full
annual fee of LE100.
Membership is valid from September 01st - August
31st.
Requirements of membership to BISS are as follows:
1. being a full paying parent of a child
attending BISC
2. being of good character and reputation
3. being at least 25 years of age
4. paying an annual subscription fee of LE100
5. having his/her membership
approved by BISC Board of Directors
All parents are encouraged to join the Society. If you would

IMPORTANT:
If school fees are not fully paid by a society member,
his/her society membership immediately becomes null and void.
