Rugby U19 Tournament

On Friday, 14th October the British International School, Cairo hosted its first rugby tournament of the season; with teams coming from NCBIS, El Alsson and MES. The boys from BISC had some formidable teams to face.

Sadly, the first game resulted in a loss to NCBIS, with our team getting caught sleeping for a couple of easily conceded tries. Our second game didn't exactly go to plan either with a very well drilled El Alsson team taking the upper hand and running in three unanswered tries in the first half. By the time second had kicked off, the BISC team had woken up and put in a much more composed half finishing having not conceded a further point. Eventually, BISC turned up to the show with a fantastic performance in the third and final game versus MES. With lightning pace from Sherif Sami and Khaled Kamal, the awesome defensive work of Selim El Sharnoubi and Ahmed Fayek, and the incredible work rate of Aly El Serafy, we pulled together to pull off a victory to finish the day on a high.

I would like to thank all of the parents, students and teachers, they gave up a time to come and support both our players and the other teams in what was a fantastic day of sport.
