MUN in Athens

CSMUN (Campion School Model United Nations) trip to Athens - 6th to 10th October

As the current director of BISC MUN (Model United Nations), I would like to recognise the efforts and success of our current BISC MUN members. Our youngest group of MUN participants recently represented our community at the CSMUN conference hosted by Campion School in Athens, Greece. They were the youngest delegates at the conference, and they behaved and presented well beyond their years. We have already received an invitation to attend the conference in 2017, as well as one extended by the Haut-Lac international Bilingual School in Switzerland.

This group of Year 8 and Year 9 students deserve praise and recognition for their efforts, courage and accomplishments. I am very proud of each and every one of them. A heartfelt congratulations and gratitude should also be extended to our Years 11 and 12 MUN members, who guided them in their research and mentored them in their preparations. As well, a big thank you to Ms Irigoin and Ms Abelli, who chaperoned and supported our delegates every step of the way during their travels and their time in Greece, as well as our wonderful team working behind the scenes in the Business Office.

Our students were also invited to visit the Acropolis, along with other schools from around the world, so it was truly an international experience for all involved! Looking forward to a very exciting and rewarding year ahead with several more trips ahead, including the THIMUN conference at the Hague (The Hague International Model United Nations) 29th January - 3rd February, 2017.

Additionally, we will be hosting our very own BISC MUN conference 23rd - 25th March, 2017.

Again, congratulations to all!
