Our Year 11 MUN delegates did an excellent job representing BISC at the recent LEMUN conference in Leiden, The Netherlands. Several of the delegates won the award "Best Delegate" of his/her assigned committees, as well as "Most likely to be a member of the actual United Nations" in the future. We were especially proud of Mohamed Mohsen who was selected to deliver one of the opening speeches as the Ambassador of Egypt. He spoke eloquently in his presentation and skilfully responded to the question and answer session as well. All delegates demonstrated exemplary rhetorical and persuasive skills, and many of their submitted resolutions were also successfully passed. We also traveled to Amsterdam to visit the Van Gogh museum. Luckily, we had our own Visual Art expert along with us, Nasr Farag, who was able to guide us through the exhibit, sharing his knowledge and passion for the paintings we viewed. All and all, it was a fantastic experience, as we made friends from all over the world, including Nepal, The Netherlands, Germany, Lebanon and Greece. We hope to welcome these international students and MUN Directors to our own BISC MUN conference in March 2017.
